A
NEW PERSPECTIVE
by Trish
When I first began to realize
the truth of Torah and the lies of christianity, I asked myself:
How could those Hebrews brought forth from Egypt - with great
and awesome signs and wonders, and full witness of YHWH’s
voice and majesty - have succumbed to the perversion of being
stiff-necked and complaining against their Redeemer? What kind
of shallow, self-indulgent, spoiled rotten people were they?
YHWH’s awesome deeds and visible signs and mighty voice and
earnest care --- were these idiots blind to the history they
were a part of? Did they not realize they had it made in the
shade?
They were witness to the
greatest signs and wonders ever displayed by YHWH since
creation.
As it is said in Exodus
14:31 And when
Israel
saw the wondrous power which YHWH had wielded against the
Egyptians, the people feared YHWH; they had faith in YHWH and
His servant Moses.
And again in Exodus 15:11
Who is like You, O YHWH, among the celestials; who is like You,
majestic in holiness, awesome in splendor, working wonders!
And again in Deuteronomy
29:1 Moses summoned all Israel and said to them: You have seen
all that YHWH did before your very eyes in the land of Egypt, to
Pharaoh and to all his courtiers and to his whole country: the
wondrous feats that you saw with your own eyes, those prodigious
signs and marvels.
These folks who were provided
with clothes which never wore out, and shoes that protected
their feet without wearing out, as we read in Deuteronomy
29:4 I led you through the wilderness forty years; the clothes
on your back did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet.
My interpretation is that the Israelites didn’t ever stop to
ponder this miraculous thing during their forty years -- I think
that they took for granted that their covering was sufficient.
These folks who were provided
with great spoils as they left the land of their taskmasters,
never again to have to live as slaves.
Exodus 12:35 The
Israelites had done Moses’ bidding and borrowed from the
Egyptians objects of silver and gold, and clothing. And YHWH had
disposed the Egyptians favorably toward the people, and they let
them have their request; thus they stripped the Egyptians.
Exodus 20:1 Elohim spoke
all these words, saying: I YHWH am your Elohim who brought you
out of the land of Egypt, the house of bondage: You shall have
no other gods besides Me.
These folks who had all of
their needs met as they traveled -- food practically delivered
to their doorstep, water gushing forth from rocks when
necessary. You all know the story, so I won‘t continue to
quote it.
Hmmmm.... can I relate to
this? Should I, perhaps, change my perspective?
“there is nothing new under
the sun”
I'll take inventory....
I have been magnificently
brought out of the bondage of false doctrine. Whatever my past
beliefs, I have been part of a most splendid and awesome
deliverance!
Praise YHWH for His mighty
acts!
My German ancestors heard a
call to come out of the land they were in - before all heck
broke loose in
Germany
- and they settled in the States, where I could be allowed
freedom from the bondage of forced religion, and be free from
the direct blame of the holocaust of His people.
Deuteronomy 32:43 O
nations, acclaim His people! For He’ll avenge the blood of His
servants, wreak vengeance on His foes, and cleanse the land of
His people.
Praise YHWH for His
protective care!
I and my family have enough
food to provide for our needs, enough clothes to keep us
covered, and shoes to protect our feet.
Praise YHWH for His unfailing
kindness and mercies!
I have the convenience of
food delivered to my door at the asking. I can retrieve food
locally which can be prepared at a moments notice. I have water
provided at my fingertips, so to speak.
Praise YHWH for His
continuing love and care!
I have been given the great
and most awesome gift of finding YHWH our Elohim, as He
promised:
Deuteronomy 4:29: But if
you search there for YHWH your Elohim, you will find Him, if
only you seek Him with all your heart and soul
Praise YHWH for His promises
are eternal!
Simple...
If only
with all your heart and
soul.
And He was found!
Have I forgotten what an
awesome deed that was? YES
Do I gripe about my
provisions and environment? YES
Am I stiff-necked - taking
for granted the most awesome gifts and deeds of our Creator? YES
How would I feel were I to
loose what I’ve gained because I took it all for granted? I
might as well be dead.
I think that I’ll take on a
new perspective:
Deuteronomy 32:3 For the
name of YHWH I proclaim; give glory to our Elohim! The Rock!
---- His deeds are perfect, yea, all His ways are just; a
faithful Elohim, never false, true and upright is He.
I cannot pretend to know how
or when He will accomplish, I only know that He will. Until that
time, this wandering stranger intends to have a better outlook
on the things I’ve previously taken for granted.
May my attitude to Him be
appropriate throughout my days.
Psalm 19:15
May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You, Oh
YHWH, my Rock and my Redeemer.
