YHWH’s Salvation:
by Martha (Texicansrus)

            Let’s see how YHWH’s Salvation works.  First let’s see what salvation means.  From the Brown Driver Briggs;

 BDB  H3444

BDB Definition: 1) salvation, deliverance 1a) welfare, prosperity 1b) deliverance 1c) salvation (by God) 1d) victory

Part of Speech: noun feminine; A Related Word by BDB/Strong’s Number: passive participle of H3467 Same Word by TWOT Number: 929b

 PSA. 37:39

39  The salvation of the righteous comes from YHWH; he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
40  YHWH helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.

 PSA. 51:12

12  Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

  ISA. 25:9

9  In that day they will say, "Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is YHWH, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation."

 ISA 30:15

15  This is what the Sovereign YHWH, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.

(These people went their own way, and not the way of YHWH.  They could have had everything that YHWH can provide, and they decided not to.)

 ISA. 30:18

18  Yet YHWH longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For YHWH is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!

(YHWH wants to be our salvation.  HE has done so much to bring this about.  HE has helped us from the beginning of time, with those who are evil, and wicked.  It seems that so many people turn away from what HE has done for us).

 ISA. 33:6

6  He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of YHWH is the key to this treasure.

 ISA. 45:17‑25

17  But Israel will be saved by YHWH with an everlasting salvation; you will never be put to shame or disgraced, to ages everlasting.

18  For this is what YHWH says he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited he says: "I am YHWH, and there is no other.
19  I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob's descendants, 'Seek me in vain.' I, YHWH, speak the truth; I declare what is right.
20  "Gather together and come; assemble, you fugitives from the nations. Ignorant are those who carry about idols of wood, who pray to gods that cannot save.

21  Declare what is to be, present it let them take counsel together. Who foretold this long ago, who declared it from the distant past? Was it not I, YHWH? And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me.

22  "Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.

23  By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked: Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear.
24  They will say of me, 'In YHWH alone are righteousness and strength.'" All who have raged against him will come to him and be put to shame.

25  But in YHWH all the descendants of Israel will be found righteous and will exult.

(We know from the TNK that YHWH has many times over has given HIS people salvation (deliverance) from those who have held them captive, and have given HIS people deliverance from their enemies.  One of the biggest examples is:)

The Children of Israel are enslaved, YHWH is their salvation:

 First:

Exo 1:7  And the sons of Israel were fruitful, and increased very much, and multiplied, and became exceedingly mighty. And the land was filled with them.

Exo 1:8  And there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph.

Exo 1:9  And he said to his people, Behold, the people of the sons of Israel are many and mightier than we.

Exo 1:10  Come, let us deal slyly with them, lest they multiply, and it will be when there comes a war, they join also to our enemies, and fight against us, and get out of the land.

Exo 1:11  And they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. And they built treasure cities for Pharaoh, Pithon and Raamses.

 Second:

Exo 3:9  And now behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me. And I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.

Exo 3:10  And now go, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring forth My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.

YHWH’s Salvation:

Exo 13:16  And it shall be for a token upon your hand, and for frontlets between your eyes. For YHWH brought us out from Egypt by strength of His hand.

Deu 4:23  Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of YHWH your Elohiym, which He made with you, and make you a graven image, a likeness of anything which YHWH your Elohiym has forbidden you.

Deu 4:24  For YHWH your Elohiym is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

Deu 4:25  When you father sons and sons of sons, and when you shall have remained long in the land and have dealt corruptly by making a graven image, the likeness of anything, and shall do evil in the sight of YHWH your Elohiym, to provoke Him to anger,

Deu 4:26  I call Heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish from off the land which you are crossing over Jordan to possess. You shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

Deu 4:27  And YHWH shall scatter you among the nations, and you shall be left few in number among the nations where YHWH shall drive you.

Deu 4:28  And there you shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell.

Deu 4:29  But if you shall seek YHWH your Elohiym from there, you shall find Him, if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Deu 4:30  When you are in trouble and when all these things have found you in the latter days, then you shall return to YHWH your Elohiym and shall be obedient to His voice.

Deu 4:31  For YHWH your Elohiym is a merciful God; He will not forsake you, nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them.

Deu 4:32  For ask now of the days past which were before you, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and from the one end of the heavens to the other end of the heavens, where there has been a thing as great as this, or has been heard any like it.

Deu 4:33  Did people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire as you have heard and live?

Deu 4:34  Or has God gone forth to take a nation for Himself from the midst of a nation, by trials, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that YHWH your Elohiym did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

Deu 4:35  It was shown to you so that you might know that YHWH is God, and no one else beside Him.

Deu 4:36  He made you hear His voice out of Heaven so that He might teach you. And He showed you His great fire upon earth. And you heard His words out of the midst of the fire.

Deu 4:37  And because He loved your fathers, therefore He chose their seed after them, and brought you out in His sight with His mighty power out of Egypt,

Deu 4:38  in order to drive out from before you nations greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.

Deu 4:39  Therefore, know this day and consider within your heart, that YHWH is God in Heaven above and on the earth beneath. There is no other.

Deu 4:40  Therefore, you shall keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you this day, so that it may go well with you and with your sons after you, and so that you may make your days longer upon the earth which YHWH your Elohiym gives you forever.

(We see here that YHWH through HIS mighty hand, and outstretched arm, and the many miracles that HE performed, that HE is the one who saved HIS people.  HE alone.  No one, and nothing else.  Only YHWH.

We also see and know that YHWH is jealous.  HE does not want us to follow anyone or anything besides HIM.  We must recognize that everything we do and have comes from YHWH and YHWH alone.  Again in Ezekiel YHWH tells us of His deliverance.)

Eze 11:17  Therefore say, So says YHWH: I will even gather you from the people and assemble you out of the lands, in those where you were scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.

Eze 20:34  And I will bring you out from the people, and I will gather you out of the lands in which you are scattered among them, with a mighty hand and with a stretched out arm and with fury poured out.

Eze 20:41  I will receive you with your sweet aroma when I bring you out from the people and gather you out of the lands into which you have been scattered among them. And I will be sanctified in you in the eyes of the nations.

Eze 36:24  For I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all lands, and will gather you into your own land.

(We see also that YHWH has made a promise, and that HE intends on keeping it.  But the promise is not one sided.  We can not expect YHWH to keep HIS end of the promise if we do not keep ours.  In order for YHWH to remain our salvation, for HIM to continue to protect us, and to help us out of slavery we must do our part, and keep our end of the promise.)

Deu 10:12  And now, Israel, what does YHWH your Elohiym ask of you, but to fear YHWH your Elohiym, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve YHWH your Elohiym with all your heart and with all your soul,

Deu 10:13  to keep the commandments of YHWH, and His statutes, which I command you today for your good?

Deu 10:14  Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens belong to YHWH your Elohiym, the earth also, with all in it.

Deu 10:15  Only YHWH had a delight in your fathers to love them, and He chose their seed after them, you above all people, as it is today.

Deu 10:16  Therefore, circumcise the foreskin of your heart, and be no longer stiff-necked.

Deu 10:17  For YHWH your Elohiym is Elohiym of elohiym, and Master of masters, a great El, the mighty, and a terrible El, who does not respect persons nor take a bribe.

Deu 10:18  He executes justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the stranger in giving him food and clothing.

Deu 10:19  Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Deu 10:20  You shall fear YHWH your Elohiym. You shall serve Him, and you shall hold fast to Him, and swear by His name.

Deu 10:21  He is your praise, and He is your Elohiym, who has done for you these great and terrible things which your eyes have seen.

Deu 10:22  Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy persons. And now YHWH your Elohiym has made you as the stars of the heavens for multitude.

(Look to YHWH, and let HIM alone be your salvation.  Look to YHWH and thank HIM everyday for all that HE alone has done for you.  Look to YHWH and thank HIM for bringing you in as a part of HIS chosen people.  Keep your end of the promise, and YHWH will keep HIS.)

PSA. 40:16  But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation always say, "YHWH be exalted!"

  SO BE IT

Martha N.
