CHIASM 1
COME WALK WITH ME
By Carolyn R. Echols
7/10/01

I'd love to walk with you, Lord in the garden
In fellowship and face to face communion
This evening as the sun sinks in the distance
And cooling breezes whisper through the grasses.
We'd note the form and fragrance of each flower.
We'd hear the lullabies of all your creatures.
We'd talk of all your glorious creation,
And of earth's ever changing forms and patterns.
I'd love to hear you tell about the cosmos;
Of galaxies and worlds I can't imagine,
And of the greater glories in your Heaven,
That perfect realm untouched by sin's corruption.
But nothing can compare Lord with your presence!
Your holiness outshines that realm's perfection,
And dims the glories of that place eternal,
Outshines the glories of your stars and planets;
Outshines our universe with all it's mysteries;
Outshines the ever changing face of this world;
And, all the wonders of your vast creation;
The animals and birds your own hands crafted,
And all the lovely flowers, plants and grasses.
So, as the evening winds blow so refreshing,
And the sun's rays soften in the distance,
Let's walk and talk together, you and me, Lord.
Come, walk with me this evening in my garden!
