We received a letter (included below) from someone who neither signed nor gave return address. It concerned it self with the following short Sabbath message. We chose to respond here because, it is so easy for us mortals, here below to speak in error and miss, in the darkness and fog, the message offered. This may help all of us to read with clarity and discover the log in our own eye...

Messiah, tell me,
have you truly come?
by Br. Yeriyah
A faithful steward brought his flock to walk the path that leads to life, the true and tested way, yet walked by few.
He spoke of restoration and abundance in the will of Yah. Of a people, of a nation, of a Kingdom of our El.
Amidst apostasy on every side, he lifted up his clarion cry. Oh! Stop my friend and listen...
It still echos in these heavens, clear and sharp and true.
But only ones who want to hear.............Do.
Near 2000 years ago, he brought a dangerous message, that when revealed, would cost his life. He spoke in cryptic terms, hoping to be understood by the very few who were supposed to hear.
He was a defender of the old ways. He walked in a world who saw these ways as quaint and/or outmoded and/or even superstitious.
What he proposed was understood to be.....sedition!
Only if the Almighty Himself was to lend assistance would the outcome be favorable. He stood as a reluctant obstruction to established order.
He called for a patriotism to a bygone Kingdom, to adherence to its principles of right and wrong, to its concept of justice.
What a stalwart defender of lost causes, an idealist dreamer or maybe, a flagrant fatalist, we must judge for ourselves.
He was executed and a few, who were faithful to his cause, claim that the grave could not contain him.. They say he awakened from the dead, on the third day and after a brief period of time was seen being ushered into the heavens on a cloud.
The most salient point that stands in opposition to his claims of authority is the resultant effects of his work....
Before he was apprehended, one of his closest associates betrayed him, then in weakness of conviction, he was denied by another.
This was only the beginning of the dissipation of his message and promise. His followers capitulated to the primacy of a foreign power, even to denigrating their own race.
The message became secondary to the messenger, who was soon touted as a G-d-man, who magically brings salvation to those who believe (worship) on him. Of the despised foreign g-ds, he was made one.
The immortality of the soul was taught as his own doctrine. Justification by faith was Hellenistically twisted out of Habbakuk and became a cornerstone of the church, he was supposed to have founded.
The Law that he loved and called his own was said to be impaled with him on his execution stake.
If the words he said were true, let us judge a prophet by his fruit....Who of us can hear the heavens in reverberation?
How much pain and suffering has occurred over these centuries in the name of J. C. by those who say they are his followers?
Is this my point?...........By no means.
We must add into this equation, one other important factor. The church that was built on this name was apostate, Hellenistic, secular and fully under the tutelage of the hated emperors!
If this be so, all doctrine must be weighed, in view of this. If any doctrine is in opposition to the Law delivered to our fathers or teaches some other G-d to worship, it must be done away.
If there are reports that suspend the requirements for justification, we have to question, if any man or men have the authority to change the will of Yah.

I felt that mabey you were headed somewhere, and then you ended your message abrubtly by stating your opinion about Jesus Christ. If you read from the bible, then read it. I'm not bashing you, I'm more than a little concerned. May your wisdom in the understanding of God grow, and may your thoughts on the matter go from your head to your heart. This message is in regard to, I think "has god really come back" or something like that.
Response:
I read with some consternation your comments in regard to a recent Sabbath
message. Your concerns may be well intended and I contritely pray that my
wisdom and understanding grow. Isn't it true that before any of us can see
clearly, we must focus? Understanding the subject can often begin with a clear
comprehension of the material being presented. Often, our indoctrinations are
evidenced by our remarkable misimpression of the subject being presented.
In this Sabbath message, the word messiah does not in any way, shape or form include an inference of the divine. Messiah equals anointed. David was anointed, Aaron was anointed, Cyrus was also an anointed, none were g-d. Yahushua was anointed and in unity with the Father, just as we should also be but the evidence of him being the Almighty or that you or I am Almighty does not exist. Often, if we read more carefully and set aside our canonized preconceptions, we can effectively comprehend, with the help of Ruach/Spirit. Bless you in your walk.
