Dear Sir,
We, here at Qumran Bet, have researched the history leading up to the
ministry of Yahushua HaMashiyach. We found that when taken in that
context,
it becomes apparent that the religion that grew out of Paul's teachings
had
almost no similarity to what the aims of Yahushua and the early followers
were. We feel that unless we see this disparity, we are doomed to a
religion
more rooted in Greek mythology than Hebrew Law...to give an example: in
the
mind of the faithful Hebrew of the 1st century, peace (shalom) was the
result of submission to the will of the Most High, where on the other
hand,
peace (eirene) to the Greek was the result of compromise. Eloah (GOD
Almighty), in the Hebrew mind was unfathomable, indefinable, altogether
out
of our time/space limits where Theos (god) to the Greek was ultimately
definable and the pantheon defined the psyche of man.
The above statements may then lead you to believe us to be Essene.
As to reincarnation, we hold no firm enforced dogma in this regard. There
are many scriptures that seem to support such a belief. Two that come to
mind: Jeremiah said, while I was yet in my Mother's womb, You knew me and
Yahushua referred to John the Baptist as EliYah come again.
We feel that meat can be taken as food only if it meets the
Scriptural
(Tanach) requirements. The penalty of 'blood guilt' can result from not
following these ordinances.
We are of the opinion that the Ruach (Holy Spirit) is doing both a
gathering
and cleansing work in the world today. In our estimation this is the only
explanation for the abundance of revelation that is coming about in
these
last days. We also hold, that it is the individual responsibility of the
seeker to find truth. We have but one teacher (Rabbi) Yahushua HaMashiyach.
Blessings in YHWH,
Br. Jerry for Qumran Bet Community
