ELLTIL NEKCIHC
Elltil Nekcihc was a sweet Jewish girl who by all accounts saw everything with a joyful eye. The Czar and all his children were murdered by an unruly mob and sweet Eltie mentioned how wonderfully furnished their quarters were. "And Oh, the wallpaper...golden roses with real gold!"
The Nazi death camps were in full swing and Eltie was filled with pride, "Did you hear that orchestra, every one of them Jewish, even the conductor and not even a sour note."
Eighty-nine years, three-month and twelve days she lived, never a harsh word, always full of smiles....for what?
We can say she lived a life in childish ignorance or should we honor her, by imitation?
This is for the One judging in Heaven to say.
But, as for me and mine, we will serve the One in Heaven with open eyes.
