Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot

And thine eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

Seems to me YHWH is in the business of justice. Adam and Eve lost their right to everlasting life because of disobedience. They also lost their innocence, for this they sought to make amends, the paltry attempt of bloodless covering did not give equal payment according to the record we have in scripture. Just who do we serve, our own concept of fairness, or HIS.

Vegetarianism?

Exod 12:21

Then Moses summoned all the elders of Israel and said to them, "Go at once and select the animals for your families and slaughter the Passover lamb.

Exod 12:24

"Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and your descendants.

Exod 12:11

This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is YHWH’s Passover.)

Exod 12:14

"This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to YHWH-- a lasting ordinance.

How are we to remain faithful to YHWH’s will and disregard this clear command that is to be kept through out our generations, forever.
