Isn't My Bible Enough?
(While
the following is based on the NT, it also can apply to the 'Old Testament'
when you trust the translation of it, as well.)
We are offering the following information for any of you who may think you can just 'flip open' your Bible, read and know the very breathed word of G-d. We have put together this example for your consideration. We want you to be informed enough to know that truth must be sought. Many have desired for various reasons, not excluding ignorance, to put forth 'translations' to support their faith in their doctrine. We as dedicated followers and obedient seekers of truth must always be on guard. We cannot just blindly accept anything placed before us, even the English words in your Bible.
The Textus Receptus was basicly given to us from Byzantine writings and was used to also formulate the King James Version of the Bible that we have today.
Constantinople, the home for the Byzantine text type or the Textus Receptus.
noun
Pronunciation: "tek-st&s-ri-'sep-t&s Etymology: New Latin, literally, received text Date: 1856 : the generally accepted text of a literary work (as the Greek New Testament)New Testament editions in the 18th century did not question the Textus Receptus (T.R.), despite new manuscript evidence and study, but its limitations became apparent. E. Wells, a British mathematician and theological writer (1719), was the first to edit a complete New Testament that abandoned the T.R. in favour of more ancient manuscripts; and English scholar Richard Bentley (1720) also tried to go back to early manuscripts to restore an ancient text, but their work was ignored.
Please realize that the church of Constantine gave us the Bible from the Textus Receptus and it was the accepted text of the Catholic church.
We have put together a comparison of just one verse Rev. 1:11. This is just one of many that are easily found by the determined seeker, with not even a very concerted effort. You do however need the tools to search. We use many but we have a program for the computer called the PC Study Bible which contains many of the necessary aids.
Rev 1:11 (Textus Receptus numbers) Please note that there are numbers assigned to each Greek word except where a 9999 is assigned, which it supposed to indicate an added word.

There is a function on the PC Study Bible by Biblesoft that allows you to remove any added (9999) numbers, however in the above verse , we are shown only two (2) added words according to the number designations given each word.
When I click to remove the added (9999) words. What is left is quoted directly from the program:
"Saying, "What thou seest write in a book and send unto the seven churches, unto Ephesus and unto Smyrna and unto Pergamos and unto Thyratira and unto Sardis and unto Philadelphia and unto Laodicea."

Once again, you can use the Biblesoft PC Study Bible Program to toggle out the added words and added (#9999) numbers leaving you with the following:
"Saying, "What thou seest write in a book and send unto the seven churches, unto Ephesus and unto Smyrna and unto Pergamos and unto Thyratira and unto Sardis and unto Philadelphia and unto Laodicea."
If in only one verse, words of such import would not only be added but assigned numbers so you would have good reason to think the words were actually in the Greek manuscript, then what are we to believe, that this is one isolated incident? An accident? A translational error?
Let us note what the words are that were placed into the
verse: "I am the Alpha and Omega,
the first and the last..."
This is for each of us to decide but let us make our decisions based on honest information, knowledge and with our eyes open to the fact that we must do more than just flip open our good old KJV.

When you switch to Nestles numbers.... every word you see above has <9999>, which means, my friends that all of this has been added
Also, if you will check other translations, they either leave out verse 26 or they place it in brackets showing these are added words
Sadly, we could find many more instances of such. Prove for yourself, what is truth. We answer as individuals. May YHWH give you the gift of His wisdom and discernment.
Rev 22:18-19
18 For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the
prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things,
G-d shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of
this prophecy, G-d shall take away his part out of the book of
life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are
written in this book.
